Product Description

Inconel X-750 (UNS N07750 / W.Nr. 2.4669) is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium superalloy engineered for high strength, creep-rupture resistance, and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures up to 700°C (1300°F). It retains useful mechanical properties down to cryogenic temperatures and is widely used in springs, gas turbine components, rocket engines, and nuclear reactors.

Mechanical & Physical Properties (Precipitation-Hardened Condition)

  • Density: 8.28 grams per cubic centimeter

  • Melting Range: 1395 to 1425 degrees Celsius

  • Ultimate Tensile Strength: 1100 to 1280 Megapascals

  • Yield Strength (0.2% Offset): 730 to 860 Megapascals

  • Elongation at Break: 20 to 25 percent

  • Hardness: 30 to 40 Rockwell C

  • Maximum Service Temperature: 700 degrees Celsius (higher for lower stress applications)

Scrap Classification & Re-Melting Guidelines

  • Scrap Grade Classification: Premium Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) / Air Induction Melting (AIM) charge material.

  • Foundry Forms: Wire scrap, helical spring solids, turbine bolts, sheet cutoffs, ring forgings, and clean turnings/borings.

  • Quality Requirements: Must be kept strictly separate from non-titanium nickel alloys to preserve the age-hardening titanium-aluminum ratio. Scrap must be free of grease, heavy oxides, plating, solder, and free-machining elements before vacuum or induction remelting.
