Product Description
Jayant AMS 5731 Fasteners has good fabrication properties. Thealloy is easily formed and cold-worked, and readily machined using standardmethods and carbide inserts, similarly to austenitic steels. This specificationalso possesses good ductility. Meanwhile, the strength of the materialincreases by solution treating, followed by cold working and aging.AMS 5731 is a solution treated specificationofStainless Steel A286. The treatment includes heating to 1800 Degree F(980 Degree C) for one hour, followed by oil or water quenching. AMS 5731 hasmany favourable properties, including excellent strength at high temperatures,excellent corrosion resistance up to 1300 Degree F (700 Degree C), andlow-temperature non-magnetic strength, down to -320 Degree F (-196 Degree C).
