VAC Grade Standards: Vacuum Quality (VAC) solids command premium pricing for aerospace re-melting and must be 100% free of high-density inclusions (such as tungsten carbide tool tips) and low-density inclusions.
Turnings Processing: Titanium Grade 5 turnings must be degreased, washed, magnetically separated, and dried to ensure volatile matter and oil content remain under 0.1%.
Segregation Rules: Keep Ti-6Al-4V strictly separate from commercially pure (CP) titanium grades and other alloyed titanium streams (such as Ti 6-2-4-2 or Ti 10-2-3) to maintain chemical composition integrity.
