Incoloy 925 (UNS N09925) is an age-hardenable nickel-iron-chromium superalloy. It combines the high corrosion resistance of standard Incoloy 825 with the added structural benefits of precipitation hardening.

By introducing specific quantities of titanium and aluminum, a controlled heat treatment triggers the formation of microscopic gamma-prime ($\gamma'$) phases. This internal structure increases the material's yield strength up to three times that of basic annealed alternatives.

  • Corrosion Defenses: High nickel content acts as a safeguard against chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking (SCC), while molybdenum and copper components reliably counteract pitting and localized crevice degradation in reducing chemical processes.
