VAC Quality Standard: Vacuum Quality (VAC) solids are held to strict aerospace re-melting standards and must be 100% free of high-density inclusions (such as tungsten carbide tool bits) and low-density inclusions (such as hard alpha oxides).
Grade Segregation: Maintain strict separation between Ti-6Al-4V, commercially pure (CP) titanium grades, and other alloyed titanium scrap streams (such as Ti 6-2-4-2 or Ti 10-2-3) to avoid chemical contamination.
Turnings & Chips Processing: Turnings must undergo washing, degreasing, drying, and magnetic separation to ensure oil and volatile content remain below 0.1% and tramp iron is fully eliminated.
