Key Quality & Processing Guidelines

• Coating State & Stripping: Active MMO (Ruthenium, Iridium, or Platinum) coated titanium anodes must be stripped/de-coated or classified separately, as precious metal coatings alter the melting process and scrap valuation.

• Frame & Attachment Removal: All copper busbars, steel structural frames, plastic spacers, and rubber gaskets must be completely removed from the mesh.

• Density & Compaction: Expanded mesh scrap requires baling or briquetting to increase bulk density prior to charging into induction or vacuum arc re-melting furnaces.

• Contamination Limits: Zero tolerance for residual chemical salts, heavy scale, lead attachments, or tramp iron inclusions.
