Material Overview

Stainless Steel 904L (UNS N08904 / EN 1.4539 / N08904) is a non-stabilized high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with a low carbon content. Designed with substantial additions of chromium (20%), nickel (25%), molybdenum (4.5%), and copper (1.5%), 904L offers exceptional resistance to strong reducing acids like sulfuric acid, as well as high resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking.

  • Types of Scrap: Solid plate offcuts, heavy sheet skeletons, pipe and tube cut ends, bar crop ends, forging returns, valve/pump cast components, and CNC turnings.
