Sourced from manufacturing stamped off-cuts, scrap presses, and post-consumer goods, this grade is valued in metallurgical recycling as an economical source of chromium and iron with a controlled nickel content.

Chemical Composition Range

  • Chromium: 16.00 to 18.00 percent

  • Manganese: 5.50 to 7.50 percent

  • Nickel: 3.50 to 5.50 percent

  • Nitrogen: 0.25 percent maximum

  • Silicon: 1.00 percent maximum

  • Carbon: 0.15 percent maximum

  • Phosphorus: 0.060 percent maximum

  • Sulfur: 0.030 percent maximum

  • Copper: Variable (typically up to 2.00 percent in custom or J4/J1 commercial sub-grades)
