Nickel Copper CDA / UNS C96700 (also known as ASTM Alloy 72C) is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel copper casting alloy primarily used in marine and industrial applications involving seawater, heat exchange, and power generation.

In marine applications, this alloy is widely used in shipbuilding and repair, marine hardware, and offshore oil and gas platforms. Its excellent resistance to corrosion and biofouling makes it suitable for splash zone sheathing on offshore platform legs and other exposed components.

For heat exchange equipment, CDA / UNS C96700 is commonly used in condensers, heat exchangers, coolers, and evaporator tubing. Its good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance allow it to perform reliably in seawater, brackish water, fresh water, and cooling tower water. These properties make it suitable for use in power plants, chemical and petrochemical processing facilities, and desalination plants.
