Recycling Guidelines

  • Keep segregated from standard Inconel 600 or 625 (Inconel 702 contains significantly higher aluminum content for oxidation resistance).

  • Melt processing typically requires Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) due to reactive aluminum and titanium elements.

  • Must be free from iron contamination, lubricants, moisture, oxide scale, and foreign non-ferrous metals.

  • Positive Material Identification (PMI) / XRF and Optical Emission Spectroscopy (OES) verification recommended prior to melt charging.
