C13100 has excellent formability and can be readily cold worked, drawn into wire, or formed into sheets and plates. It offers good corrosion resistance in most environments. However, because it contains oxygen, it is generally not recommended for welding or brazing processes that involve heating in a reducing atmosphere, as this can cause hydrogen embrittlement. For applications requiring welding, deoxidized or oxygen-free coppers (such as C10200 or C106) are preferred alternatives.
